Happy Easter!

Happy Easter my friends!!!

 We've had a wonderful day. It began with Gus seeing what was in his Easter basket, and he checked out Maddie's basket for her too.

 

 

 

We took lots of pictures! MiMi and Big Daddy were here with us to celebrate.

 

 Maddie had such a cute dress that her daddy picked out!

 After Gus's nap, we hid eggs for him in the backyard. He loved hunting them. He also loved what he found inside- M&M's!

 

 

Maddie really wanted a M&M too :)

 

 

Gus has the most important thing about this day to say to you: Jesus is alive. Our risen Saviour- who makes each day worth living. Thank you Jesus!!

Easter Party

I'm so excited! I got a new computer today!! No more fighting with the old one. This should make it so much easier for me to blog, so you will probably be seeing a lot more from me. 

I thought it would be fun to have a party and invite some moms and Gus's friends over to hunt Easter eggs. I had a very fun time getting ready for the party. 

I had baskets for all the kids:

 

And I made several new recipes I had been wanting to try from Pinterest!

The kids were so great hunting eggs! It was so fun watching them. Since most of them are under 3, they didn't get in too big of a hurry. And then they all opened them to find their goodies. 

 At first Gus just was carrying around his eggs. 

Gus had fun, and I hope all the other kids did too.  The weather was just perfect. I'm thankful for these moms and for these kids for Gus to play with!

I want to share some pictures with you today.

First, Gus got his haircut. He always looks like such a little boy when he gets his hair cut!!

This week we ordered Gus his first "kids" meal. Of course it was delicious Mexican food!

We took some pictures before church, I don't know how I got so lucky to have such a cute family!

Gus has enjoyed some warmer days when he can play outside with sticks, rocks, and leaves.

We are hoping for some more warmer days and no more dust storms like we had this weekend!

Oh Pinterest!!

I have actually become crafty because of it. These days I'm often on it more than I am on my blog because my computer has been broken. We have been trying to eat a lot healthier. I tried this recipe a few weeks ago, and it is so yummy! I like to put all the recipes I like on one board so I can find them easily and those who follow me can use them as well.

I'm Tired

The title pretty much just sums up what's been going on this week with me. Any of you with kids I'm sure can understand. I feel like I cannot get caught up. There is always something that needs cleaned, dishes or bottles to wash, clothes to fold, toys to pick up. I feel like I go and go and go all day long! Then I crash into bed, only to sleep if I'm lucky for 3 hours before its time to feed Maddie- who hasn't been sleeping great at night. She likes to stay awake from around 4-5, then Gus wakes up around 6:30. Then we start all over again!! When is there a break?

Don't take this the wrong way. I love taking care of my babies. I love staying home. I love taking care of my house. But I'm just tired!

Are you tired? Can you not get caught up? I understand how you feel, and we will make it through :)

4 Months

Time Stop!!! Baby girl is growing too fast!

How Maddie can already be 4 months old I have no idea!

Eating- Her eating habits haven't changed much. Both my babies weren't big eaters, and Maddie tells you when she is finished. We haven't tried cereal yet. I know that time is coming soon. She puts and moves everything toward her mouth.

Sleeping- Sleeping hasn't changed much either. She sleeps after her dream feed at 10-11 until 1:30 or 2. Then she goes until 4-5. Some nights she wakes up two hours after her 2 o'clock feed just awake, not hungry. These nights are not my favorite. Or like last night She was up from 4-5. I put her in bed beside me, but it didn't help. We do put her to bed right after Gus. And she is learning pretty well how to self-sooth. A few special days too they are both napping for a short time in the afternoon at the same time like right now- shhhhhhh.... don't speak to loud! She sleeps with a lamb that she cuddles with.

Diapers- she is wearing size 2 now. I think we might need to put her in a size 3 at night though because of leaks.

Clothes- she is wearing mostly 3 month and a few 6 month. I still squeeze her into some of her smaller stuff too. She isn't super big.

She has her doctor's appointment next week so I don't know her weight or length.

Maddie, you like to talk a lot now! It's very fun. You are very interested in your brother and the dogs.

If you are unhappy about something, you let everyone know. When others try to hold you, you are ok until you figure out it isn't mommy or daddy, then you are upset. 

 

What a sweet girl you are Maddie! I love that you like to cuddle with me. You are so special to me :)
