Jack is 6 Months!

 Yesterday Jack turned 6 months old! And I can't say enough about this sweet little boy!

Jack- you truly are a ray of sunshine! You almost always have a smile. You love to be tickled and to laugh. 

You are very curious, and I can tell you are learning so much! You like to play with your hands. You will just hold them in front of you and turn them, they are amazing things! 

You are now sitting up great! You love to just sit and watch the world around you and play with toys.  You love for me to play with you and hold you. You enjoy watching your brother and sister play too. We have given you cereal and you really like it- much more than your brother or sister did. You tried some sweet potatoes but weren't a fan.

You are moving a little bit, but not officially crawling. It really could be any day- you are so close!  You aren't sleeping through the night yet, but sometimes you only wake up once.

You bring joy into every day. I'm so thankful and blessed that you are in my life!

Family and the 4th

A few weeks ago we went to visit Josh's parents. We had a nice visit! It was a long drive though- 11 hours each way. But we survived :)

While there, we went to an aquarium! We enjoyed it, and it is nice to get out of the heat.

We have been enjoy some wonderful summer weather. Although it's warm, it hasn't been too hot. The kids have been enjoying time outside, and I have as well.

  

We had a great 4th of July! We began by driving a float in the local parade. Although we live in a small town, there are lots of activities around town. Gus and Maddie really enjoyed being a part of the parade.

After the parade, we came home and grilled hot dogs in the backyard. The kids enjoyed playing with their water table before naps.

In the evening we spent some time with our friends. Gus stayed awake and was able to watch some fireworks. They have a huge firework show at our local park, and we are lucky enough to be able to see it from in front of our house.
