Or maybe I should say we attempted. The first time the crowd cheered, Gus got very scared! We got him settled down, but each time they clapped and cheered, he cried. It is very quiet in our little world, he is not used to loud noises besides like a blender or garbage disposal :). We left before the 1st quarter was over.
On Saturday night we had a Sunday school party at our house. In pharmacy school I had friends over all the time, so it was fun to have company. Everyone seemed to have a good time, except for Gus. He spent most of the night in his room in his swing or bed. He just doesn't seem too sure about this socializing thing.
Sunday we went to church and then went to a Bible study during the evening. A couple at church had invited us, and the Bible study is for young couples. The older couple that teach it talk about marriage. We really enjoyed it and look forward to meeting other people there. There were a lot of stay at home moms there which was encouraging to me!
On Monday I attempted Pioneer Woman's chicken fried steak! I wonder how many people have made chicken friend steak since her show aired on Saturday. Josh enjoyed it, and I think it was a good learning experience and I will do better next time!
The only thing I didn't like was the huge mess it made it my kitchen. Luckily Gus was napping while I was cooking because I got a bit frazzled!
Yesterday afternoon we received something exciting from the UPS man, Gus's new car seat! He has been needing it for quite a while. I sat him down in it to see how he looked, and he promptly spit up on it! I guess it was his way of breaking it in and marking it as his. :)
The rest of time I have been entertaining this guy, which is a full time job!
And that's what is going on in my life...
