A Real Pumpkin Patch

Farmers grow pumpkins in the area where we live. We  have friends that grow them, and they graciously let us go out to their pumpkin patch after they had harvested all they wanted.

It is hard to describe how BIG this was!!! It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. There were tons of pumpkins still in the field. Each one was so pretty. If you can imagine the really pretty ones in the store- ALL OF THESE WERE LIKE THAT. I really wanted to just fill our car and then pile them on the top and take as many as possible home. It is an experience I won't forget!

So of course I took as many pictures as I could.

See how tiny Gus and Maddie look in the field?!?!!

"CHEEEEESE!"

Life

I obviously can't get this blog caught up on everything that has been going on, but I will try to do a little better! Life has been very busy lately, and there are days when I don't even open my computer.

Jack now is sitting in a high chair when we go out- such a big boy!

Gus and Maddie are such good buddies- they love playing together:

We got a few pumpkins- always fun

I worked a few days, and so my mom came to stay with the kids. It was a special time to be with MiMi! And it was a nice break for me- although I was ready to be home again :)

A few weeks ago for church Maddie and I matched in our animal print :)

Maddie's hair is so cute! She loves for me to fix her hair.

This is my handsome cowboy- with his new belt and buckle and new boots

We were able to go to the local football game! We stayed for the first half and everyone had fun. The last time we attempted to go was when Gus was little, and he hated all the noise. Maddie clapped after every play! Gus loved seeing the band.

I had a chance to take the kids to a pumpkin patch last week. They had various activities for the kids. Gus and Maddie had fun.

We transitioned Jack to his crib in Gus's room- which the boys now share. Jack loves it! And Gus was excited to have him there too. Gus has crawled in with him a few times, and some random toys end up in the crib every once in a while, but it has gone really well.

This week my grandparents came to visit for a few days. We loved being able to spend time with them!

We have had lots of other "stuff" going on too. My days at home are just very busy with cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, and keeping the kids happy :) They have been growing so much lately, and they are a lot of fun. There are some things that are starting to get easier which is nice. I know this stage will be over before I know it.

Jack is 9 Months!

Jack- my sunshine- my precious boy- how can you be 9 months old already???

You have been growing so much lately!! I was holding you a few days ago and could not believe how long you were! What has happened to my baby?

Jack has been attempting to stand on his own, and I know it is just a matter of time before he is going to be walking! Both Maddie and Gus walked at about 10 and 1/2 months, so I'm guessing it won't be long! Jack is motivated to keep up with his brother and sister. (and sometimes things get rough- bruise on his head :( )

Jack has tried some new foods, but he still doesn't have any teeth so we are limited. He does like refried beans when we eat Mexican food- gotta start them early on the Mexican food!

He's doing better at sleeping at night. He usually just wakes up once, and sometimes he doesn't wake up at all. Yay!
We just transitioned him to a big car seat. He can see Gus now when we ride in the car, and he loves that. Gus makes him laugh :)

I have been getting the kids on a pretty good schedule, and a few times I have had all three asleep for 2 hours at the same time in the afternoon- makes a happy mommy.
Jack is the king of facial expressions. He bats his eyes all the time and makes us laugh.
Jack- I love your smile, your laugh, and your cuddles.
 And I love you,
Mommy
